If anything at all, it actually does deliver on the promise of smooth, soft skin. I’ve been using L’Oreal Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care daily for three weeks and I can’t say it added any unnecessary dryness in that time.

However, it isn’t exactly a good ingredient as it can age your skin over time and also add further dryness. I’m not going to say I don’t use skincare with alcohol because I definitely do. Most important of all is though is the fact this contains alcohol. Most sensitive users will absolutely hate the scent which does linger a bit after application. It has a very heavy fresh aquatic fragrance that I enjoyed it but even I can admit it was too much. I wouldn’t say it plumped skin but it added very nice, lightweight hydration to my drier skin. My dry skin liked it a lot but I have to admit after application I almost felt like I needed to follow up with my moisturizer as this feels like more of a serum or an essence type product. It smooths and softens my skin and helps keep it soft and smooth throughout the day without causing shine or greasiness. It’s a gel-like essence that absorbs easily into skin and leaves behind a fresh well hydrated finish. I’m definitely a fan of this but I have strong reservations about so many aspects of the formula. The “frozen”-like packaging might remind you of Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Skincare and really, perhaps that’s what L’Oreal is going for here right? Typically these smaller gel lotions come housed in a smaller bottles but this is quite a generous size. This comes in a very elegant ice blue glass bottle that’s 3.04 oz in size. The first thing I noticed about this product was the packaging and larger size. L’Oreal Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care is available in a Normal/Dry Skin formula as well as a Normal/Oily one. I spoke about this earlier last month when I saw a display at my local Walgreens but Walgreens hasn’t stocked it yet but Walmart did! So, I ended up stocking up on a few of the items since 1. This new skincare launch promises up to 72 hours of instant and contentious moisture as thanks to aloe water and hyaluronic.
L’Oreal Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care actually has some releases already available in China and Japan but we are finally get it here in the US. I purchased L’Oreal Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care ($17.99) which is part of the new L’Oreal Hydra Genius Skincare Collection that’s launching for Spring 2017 at drugstores.
